ANEEL will discuss Ampla Tariff Review in Niterói

The presential session to discuss the proposed Tariff Review of the distributor named Ampla Energia e Serviços S/A will be held on January 30th, 2014 from 13:30 to 17:30 at La Salle University Center (Unilasalle - RJ) located on Rua Gastão Gonçalves No. 79 Santa Rosa - Niterói RJ.
The values submitted to the hearing by the National Electricity Agency (ANEEL) consist of a preliminary proposed reduction of -6.51% of residential consumers’ bills (B1) of Ampla. The average for low voltage consumers stood at -5.12%. For industries, the proposal is for an average increase of 7.72%. The final index will only be known in March, when the matter will be resolved by the Executive Board of the Agency at the Annual Public Meeting. The revised rates will be applied from the 15th of March. The proposed average effect for all consumers will be a reduction of -1.31%. The concessionaire serves 2.5 million consumer units located in 66 municipalities of Rio de Janeiro.
The tariff revision is foreseen in the concession contracts and aims to get the balance of rates based on the return on investments of companies focused on the provision of distribution services and cover the costs recognized by ANEEL. The audience will also discuss the quality of service and the limits for the continuity indicators * DEC and FEC ** of the sets of the distributor stipulated for the period from 2015 to 2019.
